Playing, learning, and working together

I've been thinking about my friends on the other side of the world lately.  I feel so privileged to have had the time to get to know them - to have that season with them.  Now it is easy to pray earnestly, because we know each other.

So what forms the relationship?  A common commitment to God, certainly.  But it is also playing together, talking together, eating together, confronting & forgiving each other - and at the end, we have years apart with that connection still felt.

My life has been full of transitions, and as a result it is my habit to eagerly push relationships to a deeper level.  I see my kids experiencing some of the same things.  My hope is that they will love deeply and be able to enjoy fellowship with others.
