Vision for blessing and the will of God taxi

We recently read a biography of Helen Keller.  She said something to the effect that everyone should look at things as though it were their last day of seeing, and taste food as though they would not be able to taste tomorrow, etc.  I do count it a privilege to see this scene when I wake up each morning.  It's not everyone who can walk to work through a rainforest path.

My hope is that our home will be a place of rest and spiritual refreshment for ourselves and for anyone who visits.  We so enjoy being able to offer hospitality and the opportunity to meet and be encouraged by visitors.  This house is about 4 times as big as where we've stayed before out here - what a blessing!  The room is ready and you are welcome.  I strongly advise closing the door to your room at night if you are wary of youngsters greeting you loudly in the morning.

Our guestroom - someday we hope to have curtain rods, too!
I had to laugh when I saw we were following this car.  Lots of taxis paint various messages on their cars.  This one, "la Volonte de Dieu", or the will of God, struck me funny.  I have early memories of my mom reminding others that "the safest place to be is in the center of God's will."  One of Karl & my bonds is our commitment to follow the will of God as best we can discern.  Whether dancing the van through crazy city traffic or entertaining strangers and friends, we pray God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
