Santa Lucia and her reading

Ruth has finally gotten into watching videos a bit - hopefully that will help on our long plane trips next Tuesday. Here she's enjoying veggietales with monkey.

She's also started reading upside-down. She reads a variety of literature, from Arch books to the famous classic poetry.

Despite all the cleaning and moving, I took a bit of time to make swedish tea ring, put together the angel chime tree, and have Santa Lucia. I'm glad I did. I remember my mom even planning ahead and having all the fixings for Santa Lucia even when it happened in the middle of a two-day truck trip.

Ruth was intrigued by the candles and excited to taste frosting. She wanted to help carry the candles but didn't get the chance.
