Make It Easy - for them to work

Icky things do icky jobs for us, like getting rid of smelly vegetable peelings and turning them into good, rich dirt.  As Karl enjoys seeing things grow, he's eager to compost and make it easier for the worms and bugs to work.  While Karl's dad was here, he saw the wormy compost pile that the dogs kept getting into - and took some extra cement bricks to build - voila - a proper compost pit!

Meanwhile, on a fun morning when friends dropped by for a playdate/chat, I used the same principle.

PLOP, the container of green beans landed on the table.
BLIP, a container for ends and bad spots hit the surface.
VOILA, these women jumped to the task without even being asked!

Shameless, I know.  I was bad enough to top it off with having them process my carrots, too.
Many hands make light work.

I will have you know, I did sautee some green beans and carrots for us all.  After all, as I say with cookie dough, you mustn't muzzle the ox while he's treading out the grain.
