Watery Tea Party and Sleeping

For Ruth's birthday tea party the girls all wore hats (long enough for a picture) and pretty dresses. I made a tea room out under the clothesline (mainly so I wouldn't have to get up and down for spills). We played ring around the rosie and pop goes the weasel (walking around a chair and jumping on 'pop'). Water was the beverage available from the teapot, and the kids loved all the snacks: sugar cookies, pretzel sticks, angeled eggs, chin chin. We got inside just in time to stay dry when the rain poured down.

YAY! Michael was getting worse and worse about sleeping at night; then we started treatment for thrush, then we had October break (this week). So the goal for the break is to break his habit of eating so much at night.

Friday night the first time he woke up to eat, I had Karl swing him back to sleep in his carseat.
He slept 8:45-12:45 (swing) then til 3 a.m., then ate and slept again until 6:15 or so.

Saturday night same deal but better:
He slept around 9:00-2:30 (swing), then til 4:15 a.m. to eat, then slept again until dawn sometime.
Last night was the best yet:
He slept around 9:00-3:15 (swing), then til 5:15 a.m. to eat, then played/dozed in his pack'n'play until 7:30.

So the next goal for him is to get him to go back to sleep w/o Karl having to get up, which is too much during regular school time. I've been making him fall asleep by himself for naps - b/c honestly the fussing is a lot easier to wait out during daylight hours.
And...Michael's an american now! We picked up his passport & certificate of birth abroad on Thursday. Now he can travel if need be. :)
